WHY NOT ME?
have you ever been in a situation and wished you're not in it? you calculate back what has been happening, all the weird + bad + unsatisfactory + yucky + uncomfortable moments in that particular situation and say to yourself, "WHY ME?"... who are you asking? God? Yourself? your boyfriend? your girlfriend? your friends? got an answer yet.....?
i was with Irfan at Walmart waiting for his Saturn's tyres to be changed (all 4 since i broke all of them in one go). while waiting, another couple was sitting in front of us. we started talking and they told us how their car got into an accident. i dont remember what happened to them though, but i know it was pretty bad lah. then irfan told them what happened to his car (yeah, my bad!). their car and our car got it bad laa kira nyer.. thats why la our cars went to Walmart Auto Repair. but anyways, both of us agreed on one thing: The most important part is not the car, it's the people. Cars can be replaced but how bout lives? no right.. of course lah, pretty obvious can.
with all our chitchats, the thing that struck me the most was a question. as the man talked about his accident and all the shit that came with it, he said he asked himself, "Why me?" But the real question he said was, "Why not me?". i asked myself jugaklah aritu, why me yang masuk dalam are kubur tuh?? but then again, why not me?
Shit happens around the world. Everyday you hear or read about poverty, crimes, accidents, etc and you hear or read this in the comfort of your home or wherever you deem you are safe. You would thank god that all these things are not near you, or you wouldnt thank god at all. Or to the selfish-inconsiderate bastards out there, you might say those people deserve it or 'saper soh tak blaja elok-elok' or whatever bitchy things that you might think. Yeah, shit happens. And if it happens to me, i would probably ask "why me?' would i stop to think why it wouldnt happen to me?
people are faced with dilemmas, stuck between decisions, weirded out by other people's decisions. we might like or not like what's going on and so we question things. gosh, i have no idea where im getting at....... urgh nyways, i guess it's back to what teachers used to tell us in school, "Ask questions when you dont know". So yeah, it's okay to ask questions... but not stupid questions lah. Conclusion is, ask the right questions and duh, you'd get the right answers. and always thank God for what is given to you....
